Becoming a College Official

If you are interested in becoming a collegiate volleyball official, here is some information that may help you.  Here is the process that we use to select officials to become collegiate officials. 

  • Make an application to OCVOA .  To receive an application, email mgschopp@comcast.net.  For current officials the application is located in our documents on reftown. Application should be submitted by Jan. 30th or sooner.
  • People with high school experience at high levels of play including playoffs and state tournament experience is highly recommended.
  • People with club experience who have obtained their Jr. National rating.
  • Line judge experience doing college line judging.
  • Officials are chosen by needs of the association by experience and location.
